Food and drink

Kafe Arkadia is located at the entrance to the museum and is open every day during the museum's opening hours.

Piperviken cafe is located by the festival grounds and is open on special occasions.

There are many nice places to eat brought food in the Open Air Museum. There are tables and benches on the festival grounds and by the playground. It is not allowed to bring food and drink inside buildings and exhibitions.

BBQ is not permitted.

Dog
Dogs are welcome in the Open Air Museum and must be kept on a leash. Dogs are not allowed into buildings and exhibitions, with the exception of guide dogs for the visually impaired and the blind.

Smoking
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas between the Square and the Old Town.
Smoking is prohibited in the rest of the museum due to the risk of fire.

Toilets and changing rooms
Toilets can be found in the Visitor's Centre, at the Square and at the Festival Grounds.
Changing rooms can be found at the Visitor Center.

Additional Information

  • Timings are:
    - 1st October to 30th April – 11:00 am to 4:00 pm from Tuesday to Sunday, and closed on Mondays. Gates to the open-air museum close at 6:00 pm.
    - 1st May to 30th September – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm every day. Gates to the open-air museum close at 8:00 pm.
  • Entry is free for children up to 17 years.
