The Longship – VR Cinema
In collaboration with Ridley Scott Associates and the UK's Dimension Studio, The Viking
Planet proudly presents the world's first scripted drama produced in virtual reality using
volumetric capturing, The Ambush. Our one-of-a-kind VR cinema transports you to the
western coast of Norway during the Viking Age, where you will experience the thrill of being
part of an ambush. We recommend being at least 12 years of age before experiencing the
film.

FERÐ – The VR Game
Defend your village, seek revenge, and lay siege to rival Vikings in our new virtual reality game. Our game is an exciting and challenging experience intended for everyone 12 years
and older. FERÐ can be accessed by either purchasing our combination ticket or a separate
gaming ticket.

Norvegr – The Movie Theatre
Our film, Norvegr takes you through time, exploring the digital age and the resurgence of
Early Medieval Scandinavian culture and storytelling in contemporary entertainment.

The Viking Ship Exhibition
Just because the Viking Ship Museum is currently closed, does not mean you have to miss
out! We have licensed 3D files of the most prominent artefacts from their collection that our
guests can explore interactively. Some of the artefacts that we have on loan include the famed
Oseberg and Gokstad ships, numerous pieces of jewellery, wooden objects as well as the
Langeid sword!

The Hologram Theatre
Combining a century old illusion technique with cutting-edge projector technology, guests
can meet life-sized holograms face-to-face. Our holograms are based on archaeological
evidence and presents over twenty individuals of various social statuses within the Viking
Age, displaying armour and fashion of their time.

Viking Wars
Vikings fought in countless battles in search of honour, wealth, power, and land. This
interactive experience provides not only insight into the weapons and strategies employed by
Viking warriors, but also a bird’s eye-view of some of the most important battles.

The Viking Timeline
Discover the Viking Age at your own pace! Through texts, short films and interactive 3D
artefacts, our timelines allow you to explore notable events as well as the exploits of some of
the most renowned Vikings.

The 3D Gallery
Explore iconic Viking Age objects like a longhouse, a nasal helmet, the Dannevirke as well
as a longship in our 3D gallery.

The 270° Cinema
Experience the natural beauty of Norway and various aspects of day-to-day life during the
Viking Age in our breathtaking 270° cinema. Our one-of-a-kind film uniquely combines
traditional cinematic storytelling with innovative cinematography.

Viking Windows
Discover the Viking Age in an entirely new way through our interactive game! Learn about
various topics like gender roles, ships and some of the most prominent gods and goddesses.

The Selfie Station
Our innovative selfie-station allows you to choose from a vast array of captivating Viking
themed backgrounds from our image archive. Whether you seek the grandeur of a Viking
ship, the otherworldly charm of the Northern Lights or a Nordic landscape, the choice is
yours!
