Enjoy fresh pastries at a local cabin in the forest - and perhaps a refreshing swim in a clean forest lake?

This is a lovely little afternoon trip! We take the train to Frognerseteren for 40 minutes. Here you really get a fantastic view of all of Oslo and the fjord! From the top of the mountain, we hike down and over to Tryvann (three lakes). There is a bathing jetty for those who want to swim in a refreshing lake in the forest, or you can sit down and enjoy the summer sun.

While we are at Tryvannsstua we MUST stop by and buy fresh pastries and a coffee, or maybe a waffle and hot chocolate are more tempting? After the break we continue further down through Nordmarka's large forests. We enjoy the peace of the forest, maybe we meet a squirrel, or if we are lucky we may meet a deer or maybe a moose!

We end our trip at Woxen where we take the bus back to Oslo city center.

Join us on a winter adventure! Whether you're looking for a peaceful hike through the snow-laden forest or an adrenaline-pumping adventure on ice, our winter tours in Oslo and its surrounding beautiful nature have something for everyone. Welcome to the winter wonderland in the forest high above Oslo city! The locals call this region Oslomarka, which means Oslo's forest. We offer a variety of hiking tours and activities that will make your winter experience truly unforgettable. People often say that winter in Oslo is dark and cold, but for those of us living here it is often our favorite time of year.

There is nothing like the feeling of walking among the snow-covered trees, breathing the crisp winter air, warming up by the fire and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of hygge. Our knowledgeable guides at Oslo Hiking will lead the way, sharing interesting facts about the local area.
