Join a guided cross-country ski tour from Frognerseteren, led by former elite cross-country skier and biathlete Anna-Karin Strömstedt. The tour takes place in beautiful, well-groomed trails with flat sections, uphill climbs, and gentle downhills, and offers the opportunity to ski parts of the official World Cup cross-country courses.
Experience a memorable guided ski tour in the iconic trails around Frognerseteren – an area used by both recreational skiers and the world’s best cross-country athletes. Your guide, Anna-Karin Strömstedt, is a former national team athlete in both cross-country skiing and biathlon, ensuring a safe, inspiring, and informative experience.
The tour starts at Frognerseteren (exact meeting point will be shared on the map upon confirmation) and follows varied terrain with flat sections, uphill climbs, and comfortable descents. Along the way, participants will ski sections of the same trails used during the Cross-Country World Cup, adding a unique sporting atmosphere and inspiration.
At the end of the tour, there is an option to purchase a pastry or lunch at Frognerseteren – the perfect way to round off a winter day in the forest. The activity is also planned to allow plenty of time for participants to continue on to the Biathlon World Cup in Holmenkollen afterward.
This experience is ideal for guests staying at Voksenåsen, Soria Moria, and Lysebu who are looking for a social, active, and authentic outdoor experience. The ski tour covers approximately 3–5 km in varied terrain.
Basic skiing skills are required, including the ability to climb a short hill using the herringbone technique and to descend small hills in control. There is no required pace – the tour is adapted to the group.
Ski rental (must be ordered at registration). Please provide shoe size, height, and weight to ensure optimal skin skis. Also specify where you would like to collect the skis.
